Fair Use Policy

This policy explains the standards for using the FACTn Software website responsibly, lawfully, and without harming our systems or other people.

Last updated: August 10, 2026

Purpose of this policy

This Fair Use Policy protects FACTn Software, website visitors, clients, and our digital infrastructure from misuse, abuse, and harmful activity. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Permitted use

You may use the website to learn about FACTn Software, review our work, contact our team, apply for opportunities, and evaluate whether our engineering services suit your organisation. Your use must be lawful, reasonable, and consistent with the purpose of the website.

Prohibited activities

You must not use the website to:

  • break applicable law or infringe another person's rights;
  • upload malware or attempt unauthorised access;
  • probe vulnerabilities or bypass security controls;
  • interfere with availability, performance, or other visitors;
  • impersonate another person or submit fraudulent information; or
  • collect personal data without a lawful basis.

Automated access and content use

You must not scrape, crawl, reproduce, or extract website content at scale without our written permission, except where permitted by law or standard search-engine indexing practices.

Automated activity must not place unreasonable load on our systems, evade technical limits, or reuse content in a misleading or infringing way.

Security and vulnerability reporting

Do not exploit or publicly disclose a suspected security issue. Stop testing once you identify a potential vulnerability and report it to us promptly with enough detail for investigation. You must not access, modify, retain, or share data belonging to another person.

Enquiries and submitted materials

Information you send must be accurate, lawful, and safe to receive. Do not send confidential source code, credentials, regulated data, or sensitive personal information unless FACTn Software has requested it through an agreed secure channel.

Enforcement

If activity violates this policy or threatens the website, our systems, or other people, we may restrict access, block requests, preserve relevant evidence, or report unlawful conduct to the appropriate authorities. We will take proportionate action based on the nature and severity of the issue.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website, security requirements, or applicable law. The revised version takes effect when published here.
